Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty provide our staff unrivalled opportunities for enjoying the great New Zealand outdoors lifestyle. On weekends our staff can be frequently seen fishing in the bay, surfing at the mount, biking in the Redwoods, or skiing on the Rotorua lakes.
The Bay of Plenty Polytechnic (Te Kuratini o Poike) has more than 6000 students studying certificate, diploma and degree programmes in its Applied Science, Applied Technology, Business Studies and Design and Humanities schools. Datacom purchased Origen in early 2014.
The Datacom Systems Bay of Plenty presence is split between offices in Mount Maunganui and Rotorua. Overall, we have 18 staff including developers, business analysts, customer delivery managers, Infrastructure and Solution Architects and Engineers, and many more skilled people.
Like all our staff, our people in the BoP routinely take part in events and fundraisers for charity – often involving running, cycling, or walking somewhere. This includes events like Round the Bridges (we went to Hamilton for that one), and, annually, the Great Santa Run.
In Mount Maunganui and Rotorua we have a high percentage of blood donors amongst our staffs, at well over 25%.
